President Abbas to Jordan: a waste of time

According to “Maan News Agency": "President Mahmoud Abbas is heading today to Amman to meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan and discuss with him President Barack Obama’s speech on the peace process and its consequences".
This can only be described as a waste of time and energy. The last place that he can go to – following President Obama’s speech - is Jordan, and the United Nations is the first one that he should go to. What weight or influence does Jordan represent in the international arena?
President Mahmoud Abbas should go to the United Nations and take the following actions (with reference to another post but in Arabic), or else, we shall not dream of acquiring any part of our rights.
