EU arms embargo on Syria

It would be a colossal mistake by the European Union to lift the arms embargo on Syria. It shouldn't lift it nor ease it, but rather strengthen it, otherwise the flow of arms would only lead to further destruction, and therefore to further bloodshed.

The EU should comply with its obligations under international law, particularly Article 2(4) of the UN Charter. And if it is truly interested in solving the Syrian crisis, then it should only push for a political solution. After all, it was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize !

The flow of arms into Syria should stop, and the ongoing circus should stop as well.
