Palestinians look to become part of the UN furniture

“Built by campaigners, a wooden chair symbolises the planned Palestinian bid for a full seat at the United Nations when the General Assembly meets later this month.

Covered in the light blue of the United Nations, it was unveiled in the West Bank and will be sent on a world tour to try to gain support for statehood.”

“We, in this peaceful mission, would like to make it very clear that this quest is part of a popular campaign and compliments the diplomatic and political efforts to achieve our independence and attain the status of full membership in the United Nations,” said campaign coordinator Ayman Sbaih at the launch in Ramallah.”
